First international sister centre launches in Quito
The Centro Ecuatoriano de Excelencia Anticorrupción launched in Quito on 12 February 2020, becoming the first centre outside Canada to adopt the CCEAC model.
CEEA was founded with seven Ecuadorian universities, the CERES consortium and the support of the Canadian embassy in Quito. It operates under Ecuadorian leadership, adapting the university-anchored collective-action approach to its own legal and commercial context.
The launch established the template for the International Network of Centres of Excellence.
